What the imagination seizes as beauty must be the truth.

This is my emo myspace picture

About 6 months ago, I decided to get up and move from my home in Orange, CA to El Paso, TX in order to stay with my Grandmother.  Since I was going to be back in El Paso, I thought that the best thing to do while I was here would be to go back to graduate school for geology.

I graduated from UTEP in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in geology and used that degree to get a job working for a small environmental consulting company in the Los Angeles area.  I worked extensively in the field “sitting” on drilling rigs and collecting (it seemed like thousands) of soil and groundwater samples!

I am excited about being back in school even though I don’t know what I am going to work on for my thesis yet!  I am still searching for someone to work with and the biggest problem that I have is that I seem to like everything and can’t make up my mind.  I am getting to the point where I need to just pick something and get to work!
