Hello, visitors!

Greetings from Mariana, M.S. student in the  UTEP Geology Department

                               me @ Death Valley, CA

About me

I am from Chihuahua city which is the capital of the state of Chihuahua. My state is located on the north of México along the U.S border opposite of Texas.  After doing research over the summer of 2008 with Dr. Fitzgerald, at the Environmental Physics Lab (EPL), I came to a realization. I wanted to continue on to graduate school.

I decided to focus on finding values for several variables used to run several air models available at EPL. I realized that the values for these variables MUST be specific to the El Paso area so that the models and the research itself bears any relevance. It is my opinion that data obtained from satellite  imagery can be used to find the values for the variables needed in the air models, and I will try to focus my thesis research on such topic.
